Hey Everyone. I'm sorry I haven't posted anything new lately. My camera as of late is suffering from two problems.
1) Not working properly
2) Dying a slow miserable death
It seems that every time I turn around it has taken another serious fall (thanks to our new puppy's mischief). It has been a very sturdy camera for a long time now, but it seems now that lately the falls have been taking an impact. Yeah, I know what you all are thinking "You seriously thought your camera could fall that many times and be fine?!" In all honesty,....no. Every time my camera takes a dive for the concrete, as it tries to end its life, I sit there and think oh boy this is gonna be it! I can't tell you how frustrating it is. Part of me hopes that it would finally just give up the ghost. The picture quality is slowing dropping, and the flash randomly fires (multiple times!) no matter what settings I choose. The pictures are blurring and the latch to hold the AA batteries (yes, batteries) is broken. This has resulted in the camera's most recent inability to recognize the fact that there are batteries in it even when the latch is duct-taped close. All of the pictures, I or anyone else have taken have been utter crap. It's a sad state of affairs my camera has come to. I have enjoyed and am glad its survived as long as it has. I bought it back when I was a freshmen in high school. Just to give you a taste of how old the camera is, I am now a master's student in college. When I bought my camera, it was brand new, but it was already a generation or two old. It's really sad to think, I have had it that long.
So, since its slow decline has begun, I have been window shopping for a new camera. I want a good camera to take the same if not better quality pictures that I've been getting. However, cameras have gotten so much better than the one I bought years ago that their prices are way above what a master student with loans from her bachelors and current loans can afford. It's very frustrating cause all I want to do is run outside and take pictures of our new puppy, the beautiful colors of the leaves, and Kimi (my hedgehog - go check out her pics *wink*). This is clearly impossible with my dying camera. Oh, what I wouldn't give for a nice digital camera to magically fall in my lap.
oh well, I guess.
On the plus side, my master's study is going well so far despite its amazing ability to suck away all my free time. I just have a couple more weeks before I'm done with my first semester. ^_^
Have a great day, guys! and remember to smile!
Your frustrated camera owner,
Six Muses Short
